[...] Most girls have been in so many weddings they cringe to think about being in another one. They are expensive and I guess I could understand that. But see, I’ve never been a Bridesmaid. I’ve always wanted to be…but never had the opportunity. So I just thank God for having a friend this special.
Glad you found The Island Shoe Girl Blog and hope you will come back again. Us Bridesmaids have to stick together! I love it when you get some input on what the dresses look like because at least you have a fighting chance but it is always best when the choice is based completely on your preferences. If I ever get married the only requirement will be high end designer heels!

I just happened across this post and your blog through the magic of the internet. I decided to read it as I loved your title. All I have to say is "hear ya!".

Now my best friend and I have never married. We've both been with our partners for over 10 years and neither of us have plans. Of course if we ever did we would let one another wear whatever she likes :)

Although, I must say I was most lucky when my best friend from university married my brother. (yes! you heard that right). In any case, I was her one and only "witness" not even called a bridesmaid. So, it was totally up to me what I could buy. Yippee!

I bought the best dress ever AND I've worn it at least 4 other times. So... perhaps there will be that time for you too.

Enjoyed the read. very funny.. especially holding back the hair comment
